We are seeking an experienced, performance marketer to join the Optum Care marketing team as Acquisition Marketing Manager. He/she is responsible for developing demand generation campaigns with a focus on building awareness and thought leadership in the physician community. The right candidate thrives in a performance-driven, fast-paced environment where people are collaborative and not afraid to take risks.

The Marketing Manager will apply modern marketing approaches to accelerate physician growth including segmentation, audience engagement, journey mapping, content marketing and omni-channel campaign execution. He/she will develop content marketing and acquisition strategies using analytics to define market opportunities, develop goals and forecasts, and continuous improvement through test and learn design and channel optimization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns with emphasis on direct response and digital acquisition channels
  • Use research and consumer insights to understand customer journey for audiences; work with marketing partners to remove friction in digital, call center, broker and clinic channel
  • Strong collaboration with marketing analytics to inform acquisition campaign strategy including segmentation and targeting, A/B testing and measurement plans
  • Test and optimize media strategies to drive growth across all mediums including traditional, digital and organic; lead exploration of emerging media channels
  • Partner with the content team to execute audience-centric strategy delivering targeted messaging and education content across social media, website, and events
  • Collaborate with digital operations to create site experiences, enable retargeting and lead management to optimize digital engagement and conversion
  • Collaborate with analytics team to track and measure of marketing campaigns
  • Brief and oversee the work of internal creative and external agencies
  • Meet financial objectives through annual budget preparation and ongoing forecasting and results analysis; oversee regular reporting of KPIs across marketing channels and campaigns
  • Ensure that our brand and identity is adhered to in campaigns and in all communication channels; partner with the content team to execute audience-centric strategy delivering targeted messaging and education content across social media, website, and events
  • Deliver regular reports of campaign results, including response analysis and KPI evaluation

Required Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree preferrably in business or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional-level generalist marketing experience
  • 3+ years of consumer performance marketing experience
  • Experience developing value propositions, consumer journeys, and campaign plans
  • Experience applying marketing analytics to inform marketing strategy including segmentation and targeting, measurement, and campaign plans
  • Experience managing large scale campaigns with multiple work streams and interdependencies in a highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to create insights from data analysis and drive recommendations to leadership


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with local markets
  • Healthcare or financial services industry experience
  • Data-driven, digital-first mind set who is highly experienced in SEO, paid advertising on Facebook, Instagram and Google

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only:
The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
