The role of the Network Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies supporting Kane’s corporate technical infrastructure This person will focus on the administration LAN/WAN network infrastructure to include desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment, and software applications. This position requires excellent customer service and organizational skills to support administrative personnel, department supervisors, staff, and clients. Promote a positive work environment by maintaining respectful interactions with staff members. This position requires the ability to function successfully in both team and independent work environments.

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Cisco or Microsoft Certification preferred.
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience working with the Microsoft Windows, Microsoft server product line, Cisco hardware and software, TCP/IP, VPN technologies, data backup, virus protection, and network system monitoring.
  • Knowledge of VMware.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • Knowledge of Azure and Office 365
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Experience with SQL server and scripting
  • RF Technology experience preferred.
  • Telecommunication and fiber networks.
  • Pure Storage experience.
  • Cisco UCS experience.
  • IIS administration
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Good research skills, self-directed and self-motivated; good analytical problem solving abilities.
  • Must be able to travel, if necessary.

Responsibilities:

Installs and provides diverse complex hardware and software solutions for network design, testing, construction, and implementation.

  • Selects, develops, and documents network hardware and/or software infrastructure standards
  • Ensures network infrastructure reliability and performance.
  • Support multi state WAN/LAN network.
  • Provides recommendations to reduce costs and increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Provides second level assistance for production support and repair.
  • Adheres to all IT guiding principles, processes, policies, standards and procedures.
  • Performs on-site and remote technical support, and provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning.
  • Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.
  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • To arrange for external technical vendor support where problems cannot be resolved in house.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,000.00 – $74,000.00 per year
