Aerial Cabling/Drop Crew Technician

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated individuals for full time employment as an Aerial Cabling/ Drop Technicians- Fiber to the home/business. The candidate should be mechanically inclined with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Installing single fiber drop/pole & attaching to the hosue.
• Splicing fiber drop into a Network Interface Device, running 12/48*96 fiber cables.
• Using a vibratory plow and manually burying drop fiber to the home or business.
• Work aloft and in close spaces up to 50ft in a bucket truck, ladder, or hand climb utility poles using gaffs; work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions; work in manholes.
• Must be able and willing to work nights/weekends when the job requires.
• Maintain safe and secure work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experience preferred, but not necessary for this position.
• We are willing to train the right candidates.
• Possess a valid Driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Handling 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occassionally.
• Pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending
• Manual dexterity in the performance of tasks.
• Climbing/gaffing poles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call

• Depew, NY 14043: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Network installation: 1 year (Required)
• Juniper: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver’s License (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
