Overview:
Danella is a leading provider of utility construction services to the telecommunications and infrastructure industry. We are currently searching for an Aerial Lineman to join our team to perform construction, maintenance and installation services to various utilities and telecommunications providers. You must have a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) and clean background history.
Responsibilities:
- Properly climb poles with ability to safely use ladders
- Operate construction equipment and machinery
- Operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks
- Install poles and place wires or cables
- Place aerial coax and fiber cable
- String and maintain wire (Pulling, Fiber Splicing, Clipping, Stranding & Spacing Line)
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair overhead fiber lines
- Understanding of separation and clearance regulations
- Utilize standard telecommunications tools
- Access various installation points
- Access construction points as required
- Read and interpret engineering plans
- Keep detailed record of work activity
- Work in extreme weather conditions depending on geographical location (below freezing to over 100 degrees and in very windy conditions)
- Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of Aerial Lineman, telecommunications experience preferred
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid license, CDL preferred
