SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER

Location: 100% remote with some visits to Crystal City, VA

Clearance/Certification Requirement: ACTICE SECRET clearance required + CISCO certification

Compensation: $140K + Benefits or $75hr 1099

Summary

Extensive experience with routing and switching with a Cisco and SDWAN background, worked in complicated federal environment doing similar work. The resource should have multiple Cisco Certifications to justify his qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with customer and all levels of management.
• Manage all Physical Installations within USAID including the T.C.O.C. (Telecommunications and Computer Operations Center)
• Design, install, configure, troubleshoot, and manage all of USAID’s Video Teleconference Systems (VTC/MOVI).
• Perform installation, technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network equipment.
• Developed Bill of Materials for projects such as USAID University, SA-44 Build, SA-41 Relocation, Tech Hub Relocation, and TIC Project for infrastructure needs.
• Create the USAID Standard Installation Procedure Document.
• Generate and update Visio floor plans and rack elevation drawings.
• Create documents and spreadsheets utilizing Microsoft Office 2010 suite of tools.
• Perform quality control inspections on all installation work.
• Provide recommendations and guidance to the customer on all environmental and power requirements or issues.
• Create and perform daily environmental and power reviews to ensure environmental stability
• Manage an installation team of three.
• Perform installations, provided technical support – troubleshot and maintained USAID VTC equipment.
• Transition and cutover network components and capabilities.
• Coordinate requirements with responsible users and sites.
