CARE is seeking an Analysis and Operations Support Coordinator who will work to strengthen the delivery of several key functions within the CARE Security Unit (CSU), including security analysis and communications, travel risk management, and operational security. This role is responsible for the delivery of high-quality and actionable information and analysis, team administration, and knowledge management.

She/he will collaborate closely with the Security Analysis and Communications Manager (SACM) to develop analysis capacity and standards to ensure that key threats and risks that may impact CARE staff or programs are identified, assessed, and communicated in a timely and effective manner. Additionally, the position will provide administrative assistance and team coordination for the CSU.

The Analysis and Operations Support Coordinator is a versatile role that offers the chance to gain valuable experience in security risk management within a global organization. We are seeking candidates from varied professional backgrounds with a commitment to CARE’s organizational values and mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and internal communications: Oversee information gathering and research, particularly on new/emerging security and access trends, conflict analysis, and sector-specific topics. Support the production of the CSU’s information and analysis products and develop new communications initiatives.
  • Administration support and team coordination: Schedule team calls, including coordinating agendas and acting as the secretariat (including for Corporate Crisis Management calls as directed). Oversee the development and maintenance of the team’s SharePoint, CSU Standards Library, and internal filing systems.
  • Travel Risk Management: together with the Travel Risk Coordinator, ensure the efficient running and maintenance of CARE USA’s Travel Risk and Approval System.
  • Ad-hoc tasks: At various points, the Analysis and Operations Support Coordinator will be asked by members of the CSU to support projects that fall within the post holder’s skill set. This may include coordinating workshops or team meetings, developing policies or procedures in line with CSU objectives, or initiating internal and external representation efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Degree educated in a relevant subject (such as international relations, international affairs, conflict studies, security risk or crisis management)
  • 2-3 years professional experience (or equivalent combination of education and work experience)
  • Ability to research, analyze, and write in a clear and organized manner
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office 365 products including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint
  • Experience with administration and general office duties
  • High multi-tasking skills and ability to work under remote management
