We are currently seeking an Associate Project Manager plans, directs, coordinates or budgets activities concerned with the utility services provided by Osmose. The project manager participates in the conceptual development of a project and oversees its organization, scheduling and implementation. This associate accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities. The Project Manager will work directly with the internal Osmose operations, delivery, engineering, business development and management teams and the customer to ensure the project objectives are aligned and with the contracted scope of work. The Project Manager will be required to represent Osmose in customer facing project meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and adhere to the Project Management Methodology.
  • Effectively communicates with field staff, engineering and technical staff, data delivery teams, management, and customers.
  • Work with Osmose Operations and Business Development Managers to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with utilities services projects.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contracted work scope specifications.
  • Meet project and company financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing a project budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in project cost accounting required (track and reconcile revenue, cost of goods, accruals, invoiced totals)
  • Collaborate with Osmose operations management to address such matters as work procedures, complaints and project problems.
  • Monitor and control project through administrative direction of operations and delivery resources to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Represent company in customer facing project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
  • Work with contract administrators to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
  • May requisition supplies and materials to complete project.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients.
  • Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.
  • Production scheduling, tracking and resource management.
  • Ability to coordinate, manage and interact with multiple operations and systems engineering teams in multiple locations.
  • Quantitative analysis of large production data.
  • Ability to manage databases and extract required data to generate reports.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and summarize bulk raw production data and generate conclusions/recommendations.
  • Ability to recognize, track, manage and resolve project issues as they arise throughout the project life cycle.
  • Ability to generate summary and year end project reports for internal and external distribution.
  • Contribute to other related projects and plans not specifically noted necessary to obtain the objectives of Osmose Utilities Services.

Requirements:

  • BS in Business or technical degree preferred (computer science, mathematics, statistics, business or other very quantitative mathematical field)
  • Experience with Corrosion Services projects
  • 3–7 years professional experience in utility or utility services industry management preferred
  • Organization, self-motivation, safe working attitude, and professionalism
  • Communication Proficiency (written, verbal)
  • Teamwork Orientation
  • Proficiency in MS Excel required
  • Proficiency in MS Access preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio preferred
  • Willingness to work flexible hours whenever necessary to achieve the desired results.
  • Commitment to supporting all Company policies
  • Moderate travel required (25-50%), some overnight stay required

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
