AV Field Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an AV Field Engineer for a Direct Hire role with one of our clients in Hanover, MD to work as a member of their AV team to setup, troubleshoot, make work and closeout a variety of AV projects.

Responsibilities:

• Working under our Engineering Manager and in concert with the Operations Team, the audio-visual Field Engineer we select will have following responsibilities and personal goals:·
• Deploying to project sites to test and commission a variety of audio-visual systems
• Carrying out ‘shop’ testing and commissioning for projects not yet installed· Assigning IP addresses, updating firmware, loading system code
• Coordinating with customers for site access, IP schemes, training, and walk-throughs
• Owning the project close-out process from an engineering perspective, leading to project completion
• Respecting of diverse points-of-view, open to direction, and self-motivated· Striving for an environment in which inclusiveness drives productivity and quality results
• Operating as a team member within the AV department· Flexibility to deploy to multiple sites per day if needed

Required Qualifications:

• · Multiple years of experience with testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning audio-visual systems
• Proficient with Crestron, AMX, Atlona, Extron, Kramer, Cisco, Netgear, Luxul, Poly, Aurora, WyreStorm, and other manufacturers component setup and configuration, along with VTC solutions
• Ability to multitask with strong computer, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to read & understand architectural drawings and line diagrams·
• Strong experience with connecting to and troubleshooting networks
• Strong experience with audiovisual network protocols (Dante, AVB, NDI, AVoIP, etc.)
• Strong experience with digital video/audio transmission and protocols
• Industry certifications are a plus: Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Clearone, Shure, Polycom, Cisco, AVIXA, etc.
