Job Description: Sales Account Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Our Sales Account Manager’s primary role is to generate sales for Audio Visual and Telcom systems by developing new client relationships and expanding upon the company’s current client base. Client targets include Commercial Enterprise, Education, Transportation, Warehousing, Logistics, Manufacturing and Local and City Governments. The AV/Telcom sales account manager is responsible for building and providing proposals for design-build audiovisual systems, including design, equipment selection, material, and labor costs for design/build projects. This role is a salary-plus commission structure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Identify new sales prospects and provide accurate forecasts and activity reporting.
- Support clients from presales through post-sales, including change orders.
- Respond to RFP /RFQ, bid opportunities, and proposal client inquiries. Attend client site walks as needed.
- Use cross-selling and up-selling opportunities ensuring that all AV/Telcom technology products and services have been thoroughly presented and the sales cycle successfully executed.
- Follow up on leads within 24 hours of client inquiry.
- Meet or exceed monthly GP quota.
- Exhibit a consultative sales approach to determine a customer’s collaboration needs and timeline.
- Develop complete, accurate, and profitable price quotations and bid responses.
- Actively track proposals and awarded projects in the CRM database.
- Actively use internal CRM databases to complete client contact information, provide detailed notes, and track pending activities.
- Prepare contracts and project packages for accounts and submit all required documentation. This includes the BOM, writing the SOW, narrative template, and other documentation for each project.
- Develop and execute a strategic, comprehensive business plan to expand the existing client base and generate new business.
- Attend and participate in weekly office sales and vendor meetings.
- Participate in designing and implementing focused prospecting tools with blogs and social media/email campaigns to increase sales and expand our customer base.
- Work with Operations & Installation team to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation.
- Represent the company at technical briefings and vendor Lunch & Learns as needed.
- Participate in training and professional development activities as prescribed by management.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to understand, present and demonstrate visual collaboration products and services to end-user customers.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.
- Ability to work and think independently and ensure to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must have transparent and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Preferred, but not required:
- Professional certifications, such as CTS and CTS-D, Crestron. Cisco, Poly, Extron
- 3-5 years’ experience in direct selling in the AV/VTC/Telecommunications/Construction/Technology industries
- A bachelor’s degree or certification in electronics, engineering, or a similar field.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
