Broadband Installer/Technician/Drops(Fiber)

This job requires installations in all locations served out of the Paxton IL service center.

Responsibilities

• Fiber installations
• Provision and monitor Internet/IPTV/VOIP services
• Travel in company vehicles for service calls/on site projects
• Work with coax/fiber tools and equipment
• Communicate procedures, policies, and other information to customers
• Work with support to resolve customer issues

Experience/Skills/Requirements

• Entry Level
• High school diploma/GED required
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime
• Valid driver’s license; good driving record
• Knowledge of mechanical and consumer devices
• Willing to work in varying heights, close spaces, and weather conditions
• excavation or underground construction experience

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge/experience on processes leading up to actual installation process to turn up customers media services.
• basic understanding of IT concepts and fundamentals/experience preferred
• Knowledge/experience with installation equipment
• Knowledge/experience with drop plow and/or trencher
• broadband technician: 1 year (Preferred)
• voice, data, coax: 1 year (Preferred)

Starting pay from $18.75 up to $26.00 per hour based on experience
