We are looking for an experienced forecast tool developer with solid technical skills and a firm understanding of finance, budgeting, and forecasting principles. The Bus Sys Analyst of the FP&A forecasting tool will develop a functional and enhanced forecast planning environment in our new FP&A tool – “Planful” which is a continuous planning platform. You will work cross functionally with the FP&A teams at WellMed and Optum in addition to the technical teams at Planful, to successfully develop and deploy forecasting and planning solutions within the Planful environment. If you have experience with Hyperion Planning, Essbase, or developing within other financial reporting tools, you have the skillsets we are looking for.

Experience in developing and maintaining financial reporting systems. Proven experience optimizing financial modeling performance through system analysis and solution consulting for cloud based financial reporting systems. SQL views, stored procedures, and tables for Essbase data loads, data exports, dimension builds, and block creation preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

• System Administrator of the Planful Planning and Forecasting tool
• Be the key developer to design and build business-defined functionality within the Planful system, through the use of Journal Entries, Modeling, and Data Mapping
• Optimize Planful user license utilization
• Develop Template and dynamic planning-based forecasting solutions
• Provide end user training & support
• Drive efficiency in FP&A processes by automating manual tasks and processes globally
• Role be remote
• Occasional travel to San Antonio be requested

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or Data Science OR 5+ years of System Analytics experience
• 3+ years of experience in developing within one or more of the following financial reporting tools: Planful-Host Analytics/Anaplan/Adaptive Insights /Business Objects/Cognos/Hyperion
• 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining functional requirements throughout a project’s life cycle as an input to application design
• 3+ years of experience developing and testing detailed functional designs for business solution components and prototypes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong analytical/creative problem-solving skills including ability to independently troubleshoot and develop alternative solutions to problems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to changing priorities and deadlines. Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate data and develop accurate written materials
• Ability to establish collaborative working relationships with stakeholders and build cross-functional relationships throughout the organization and with vendors, as applicable. Professional communication skills with the ability to communicate readily with peers, customers, and vendors both via verbal and written communication
• Flexible with a can-do attitude and have the ability to remain professional under high-pressure situations. Willingness to learn new technologies
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to explain technical needs to people with less technical experience
• Strong ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment

Additional Skills Preferred:

• Strong Customer Service skills
• Knowledge of financial processes (budgeting/forecasting), cost accounting (expense allocations) and accounting principles
• Track record of seeing tasks through to successful completion
• Project Management capability
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
• Master’s Degree in a related field

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900.
