Summary

JPS Deployments is looking for professionals that can manage the telecommunications/network Cabling field. Therefore, we are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented Telecommunications/Network Cable Installer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the installation of Data Cabling, Terminations, and Testing throughout a wide array of projects and clients.

Description

Cable Installers will install, pull, terminate and test copper cables such as Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A cables. The installations are performed using best practices, industry standards, and manufacturer requirements to include data racks with patch panels and switches, cable tray systems, j-hooks, EMT conduits, etc. They should also choose and verify cable pathways, maintain all documents related to cabling infrastructure, carry out the installation of cable supports, and pulling data cables.

Position Requirements

• 2 years experience in data cable installation.(Preferred)

• Ability to install cable pathways, such as EMT Conduit, Cable Tray, and J Hooks.

• Experience running Cat5 and/or CAT 6 cabling.

• Experience installing patch panels, surface mount box and electronic equipment such as wireless access points in different types of ceiling, including but not limited to, drop ceiling and warehouse environment ceilings like iron beams and joist.

• Experience terminating and testing of data Cabling, must know how to operate fluke testers.

• Willing to work from a step ladder and scissor lift.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; especially Word and Excel

• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management.
