We are expanding our delivery team and actively recruiting for a part-time Cabling “Infrastructure Support” Specialist. Qualified candidates must have an in-depth understanding of networking and low-voltage cabling standards and currently hold an active BICSI RCDD certification. (RCDD) Registered Communications Distribution Designer is an individual who has demonstrated knowledge in the design, integration and implementation of telecommunications and data communications technology systems and related infrastructures. Candidates should have experience supporting structured cable installations for enterprise environments with various network and server hardware configurations and understand industry “Best Practices” on the installation and quickly identify client installations that would require remediation to maintain steady state support. Candidates should have the skills to instruct technical team members for completion of cabling installation or replacement projects. Working experience with Wi-Fi infrastructure installations is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will be very organized and able to complete multiple support tasks on various projects with minimal supervision. He/she will have strong communication skills to advise clients on technical matters, provide appropriate status reports and project updates, and is able to assist with the resolution of installation issues. The candidate will be focused on outcomes, and work well with peers and clients to achieve them.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Assist with infrastructure cable and physical surveys with Pivital engineers onsite
– Work directly with Delivery and Engineering teams to ensure effort is captured, instructions are clear, and apply efficiencies/automation when possible
– Communicate and coordinate schedules with technicians based on project need to complete tasks outlined and ensure those tasks are completed on-time, within budget.
– Assist with the identification of material (cabling) requirements as needed for a given project
– Understand billing requirements for the services delivered for each contract you support and manage technician cost to the project template
– Takes ownership to ensure all deliverables are provided to clients by working with technicians to receive all tools and documentation returned
– Creation of status reports for clients
– Able to handle issues and understand when to escalate problems
– Able to keep project schedules and data organized
– Make sure that all case exceptions are resolved each day
– Should be pleasant and confident
Qualifications:
– Very strong attention to detail
– Excellent communication skills for interacting with others in various roles, and organizing and presenting information simply and coherently

– Business experience using MS Excel, MS Office and standard business software

Pay: $38.00 – $40.00 per hour
