CAD Drafter – Telecommunications

Job Description

UtiliGi Communications, LLC is a rapidly growing company that supplies engineering, construction, and maintenance services to telecommunication providers. We’re looking for drafters that have a professional demeanor, thrive in a fast-paced work environment, and have strong research skills.

Responsibilities

· Create site plans for aerial and underground work based on walkout data sheets and scope of work documents

· Create traffic control plans to manage automobile and pedestrian transit around work sites

· Research design and safety standards for applicable municipalities and utility companies

· Revise plans with corrections from coworkers and permitting bodies

· Utilize map databases such as Google Earth, GIS, or County Accessor Maps

· Correspond and collaborate with team members in a professional manner

Requirements

· Proficiency with AutoCAD (preferably AutoCAD 2020 or Newer)

· AA or technical degree in drafting, GIS, engineering, or any equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferences

· Familiarity with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) Standards

· Familiarity with telecom design standards for municipalities in Washington and/or Oregon

· Previous experience drafting small cell telecom projects

· Ability to prioritize multiple projects

· Strong attention to detail and organization

Pay: $18.00 – $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Pacific, WA 98047: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)
