Position Title: Account Manager – Carrier Sales

Company: DQE Communications, LLC

Level: Associate II or III level depending on experience

Reports To: Senior Manager, Carrier Sales & Marketing

We are seeking an experienced telecom Account Executive to join the Carrier Sales team. The individual values long-term customer relationships, understands value propositions, and is interested in driving the growth of DQE. A demonstrated ability to succeed in an autonomous environment is key to this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all facets of the sales cycle
  • Manage a base of carrier accounts
  • Strategically source, develop and cultivate new prospects
  • Identify, qualify, and close opportunities to generate sales revenue
  • Engage customers in a consultative approach
  • Work collaboratively with leadership, sales/network engineering, finance, and operations on opportunities
  • Analyze communication needs and create solutions for potential customers
  • Present sales solutions to customers
  • Close on customer business to consistently achieve or exceed Quota
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships with influencers and decision makers
  • Develop an accurate and timely forecast of sales opportunities

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years successful sales experience in the telecom industry
  • Solid track record of exceeding assigned sales quotas
  • Strong knowledge of the telecommunications industry and terminology

Preferred:

  • Experience selling infrastructure services (dark fiber, Ethernet, Wavelengths) to large national carrier accounts.

Skills/Abilities: Expertise in negotiating complex transactions; Strong customer orientation; Good problem – solving skills; Ability to think strategically; Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate to clients, peers, management in a professional manner; Results oriented; Team player; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Experience with Netsuite or other CRM

Physical Requirements:

  • Some travel expected.
  • Normal office environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
