CATV Field Survey Technician

Americomm LLC is looking for Survey Tech to perform Residential and Commercial cable TV / Fiber site surveys and make ready engineering as needed within the state of New Jersey. This is a fulltime production-based position.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Cable TV / Fiber site survey from existing location to proposed locations.
• Report site survey with hand drawn sketch showing route and ISP locations.
• Obtain all information needed to put cost to drawing (show all permits, pole apps.)
• Pole profiles, as-builts and site meets as needed.
• Route and schedule your work load in timely manner/return work back to office

Qualifications:

• Must have a general knowledge of construction practices for Coax and Fiber systems.
• Must have an understanding of Cable TV installation principles, methods and practices
• Ability to hand draw sketches in the field.
• Previous Cable TV / Fiber site survey experience is preferred.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Google Earth / Maps.
• Must have valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of N.E.C and N.E.S.C. for communications for outside plant and construction practice and inside and around buildings.
• Ability to be self-managed, schedule and keep appointments and send work via scan in a timely manner.
• Have clean dependable transportation and maintain vehicle insurance.
• Have all tools associated with engineering practice or ability to purchase them or we will supply.
