TOWER TECHNICIAN I-III

The Tower Technician position is primarily responsible for telecommunications site and tower construction required to upgrade wireless networks. Climb and work on communications towers to install, replace, and repair antenna systems equipment

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Climb and work on communications towers to install, replace and repair antenna systems equipment
• Knowledge about the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.
• Climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with 50lb. load
• Recognize safety hazards and perform duties in a safe manner
• Tie a Clove Hitch and Bowline
• Perform basic maintenance/upkeep on trucks and trailers
• Drive trucks and tow trailers

QUALIFICATIONS

• Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment
• Strong work ethic and dependability
• Previous construction experience a plus
• Comfortable with heights
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Ability to drive, valid drivers license
• Able to travel out of town on a regular basis

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with 50 lb. load.
POSITION TYPE: Full Time, weekly overtime available, daily start time: 6am
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: 40 +/-
TRAVEL: 50-75 %

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour
