Cell Tower AAV Surveyor

Overview

We are looking for a motivated individual with an eye for detail to join our team. The Cell Tower AAV Surveyor is expected to work safely and effectively while accurately understanding the telecommunications SOW. And promptly completing work with minimal guidance. Candidates will spend most of the workday traveling to tower sites, meeting with vendor representatives to determine construction SOW, and drafting up site plans based on determinations made during site visits. Workdays may exceed 8 hours, depending on the scope of work and project deadlines.

The Cell Tower AAV Surveyor must be highly organized and be able to adjust to weather conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with a team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordination with cell tower vendor representatives to create a site plan for incoming AAV-provided fiber.
  • Use measuring tools to capture construction specifics, including conduit route and sizes, fiber/cable, pull boxes, demarcation point, meeting point, and other route-related information.
  • Identify existing utilities and utility easements to be used in route determination.
  • Basic CAD skills to order all collected data into a site plan that will be used to aid construction and cost estimation.
  • Balances attention to detail with the overall timeline for completion of work.
  • Works independently and with the team to identify and solve project-related problems.
  • All other related activities.

Education, Skills, and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required.
  • 2 years of telecommunication experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge and CAD experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication equipment and the ability to read blueprints, details, and specifications required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and working in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Strong independent leadership, critical thinking, communication, accountability, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills exist.
  • Ability to multitask.

Additional Requirements

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history report.
  • Work Location: 50% travel and 50% office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $52,000.00 per year
