Cell Tower Technician

HTCA has multiple openings for Experienced Tower Technicians

Technicians must be willing to travel regionally within the TN. Market

Lead Tower Technician:

• Ability to lead a crew and direct daily work objectives
• Ability to track time and expenses for the entire crew
• Ability to climb varied structures; monopoles, self-support tower, guyed towers, water tower and rooftop
• Ability to Troubleshoot, replace related infrastructure equipment.
• Ability to execute complete RMA documentation processes
• Coax or Hybrid Cable add/removal/modifications
• Antenna Line Sweep Tests, PIM Testing and Fiber Testing
• Ability to read antenna mapping on existing tower / new antenna location per site design/CD’s
• Ability to read Final Radio Frequency Data Sheet (RFDS) and Final Port Matrix plan.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware related faults for varied BTS configurations
• Providing superior customer service ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner
• Adhering to all Company and industry (i.e., OSHA,) standards/regulations
• Effective utilization of available resources, technology, and tools to complete work
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Ability to operate power tools and the use of hand tools that are required
• Must be physically able to climb 300-400 feet and maintain an acceptable pace.
• Comprehension of proper rigging & industry standard climbing safety practices
• Ability to travel within the assigned market

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have at least 2 years of verifiable experience as a Tower Technician.
• 2 years’ experience with cell tower equipment
• Must have own personal hand tools
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• The ability to use hand tools, power tools and industry test equipment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and work well in a crew environment.
• Computer literate including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and internet.
• Strong customer and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay on task independently and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in deadline oriented environment
• Must be organized with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to represent company with professionalism.
• Ability to use technical skills to work independently and within a team and execute responsibilities as well as solve problems.
• Must be able to work non-standard hours and overtime Industry knowledge of proper procedures regarding microwave installations desirable.
• Current Com Train or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue Certification preferred.
• Ability to travel within a region, market or out of market on a project basis.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather throughout the year.
• Must be able to work outside of normal business hours (i.e., shift work), to include nights and weekends, when needed.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:

• Comtrain Climber Certification Required
• OSHA 10 Required
• Experience working with Nokia equipment
• Site Construction ExperienceBenefit Conditions:

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 10 hour shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
