JOB SUMMARY

Phoenix Telecom is currently looking for skilled Tower Technicians in the telecommunications field. This position requires the ability to climb to heights in excess of 500 feet. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Cellular and Microwave lines and antennas installation and replacement. Tower structural modifications, Gin-Pole work, Tower stacking will also be required.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Perform other duties as assigned like and not limited to:

• Providing superior customer service ensuring all essential job functions are performed in an efficient, accurate, and safe manner.
• Adhere to all driving requirements as determined by State and Federal legislation.
• Adhere to all Company and industry standards/regulations.
• Effective utilization of available resources, technology, and tools to complete work.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Proper maintenance of company provided equipment (test equipment, tools, PC, cameras, vehicles, etc.).
• Represent the company in the presence of the customer.
• Attend training.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly environment and job site.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS CONTINUED

Perform other duties as assigned like and not limited to:

• Properly follow all safety procedures and policies.
• Willingness to travel 100% (Required) Daily travel within the Company’s geographical footprint and possible extended stays at external destinations. Travel time can be anywhere from three to six weeks at a time, with appropriate breaks.

· Up to 10-hour shifts.

· 2-to-3-week rotation.

• Ability to climb heights in excess of 500 feet.
• Ability to read & comprehend Construction Drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Self-starter, team player, able to meet deadlines.
• Timeliness/Punctuality.
• Experience in general wireless telecommunications environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to be insurable and able to operate a company vehicle.
• Experience in construction. (Preferred).
• Steel Modification Specialist.

· DYWIDAG

• Stacking.
• Gin-Pole Work.

· Carry out Rigging plans.

· Able to pass random drug test.

· Valid ID. (Required).

· Physically capable of performing job duties, including climbing.

· NWSA Preferred but will train.

Preferred Certification

• Tower Climber Certification or equivalent certification.
• Industry certifications for test systems. (Preferred).
• Industry certifications for connector application systems. (Preferred).
• Fall Protection training certification (Preferred).

· First Aid / CPR Certified (Preferred).

· OSHA Certified (Preferred).

• How many years of crew lead experience do you have?
• How many years of top hand experience do you have?
• Have you been responsible for rigging loads to be lifted?
• Have you been responsible for block placement selection and attachment to tower for heavy lifts?

• How many years of reading constructions drawings do you have?
• Are you able to pass a pre-employment drug screen?

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $35.00 per hour
