The Quality Auditor is responsible for providing high-quality service and evaluating customer projects in all customer technical spaces, including, but not limited to data centers, mobile telephone switch centers, central office wire centers, and designated enterprise spaces. The Quality Auditor is required to take excellent care of our customers, build relationships, question things and take action, work hard, work smart, coach / mentor our field technicians, and enjoy the experience. We have this great opportunity in the Sacramento, CA area. Candidates need to be located within a commutable distance.
What You’ll Do:
- Represent the company the company professionally and provide innovative/best in class power solutions.
- Use data to effectively schedule and perform inspections that monitor whether:
- Workmanship conforms to applicable customer requirements
- Customers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Google, Comcast, and other communications companies
- ISP – Central Offices, Data Centers, Customer Premises, etc…
- Must have working knowledge of TP76300, TP76400, GR1275, IP72202, etc…
- OSP – Industrial Buildings, Multiple Dwelling Units, Single Family Homes, Aerial, Burial, Underground
- Communications Structures and Rooftops
- ISP – Central Offices, Data Centers, Customer Premises, etc…
- Practices conform to the KGPCo Quality Manual, SM-P-6100
- Prepare inspection reports and ensure that all completed inspections are in the database of record
- Facilitate and communicate appropriate resolution of findings and closure in all applicable internal and external systems
- Lead root cause analysis efforts and mentor individuals in assigned region on corrective and preventative actions
- Assists in developing procedures that reduce:
- Overproduction – more than customer needs or is willing to pay for (qty)
- Deviations from standards and/or regulations
- Transportation of things – either physical or electronic
- Downtime or waiting due to upstream process
- Inventory or human resources on hand
- Motion – worksite set up
- Processing – producing higher quality than required
- Under-utilized talent
- Develop and/or Deliver on-site or remote training as requested
- Training may include best practice auditing methods
- Proper Installation methods
- Mentoring new hires
- Evaluating employees
- Be an ambassador of the Safety and Quality Management Systems to all parties, internal and external
- Performs other duties as requested by Manager

What You’ve Done or Skills You Possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent, Technical degree preferred
- Three years in telecommunications industry; Data Centers / Central Offices, Huts, etc…
- Demonstrate proficient use of Microsoft programs and applications
- Demonstrate proficient use of IOS and/or Android applications
