  • Installation of telecommunication equipment within customer facilities and central offices. Inside and/or outside plant environments.
  • Read technical specifications, drawings, and review Method of Procedure (MOP).
  • Complete projects without incident and on time in order to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain excellent quality and adhere to customer standards.
  • Work well within a team.
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills, customer service skills and computer soft skills.
  • Must be adaptable to changing environments
  • Have reliable transportation and basic tools
  • Willing to travel when required
  • Load software and commission equipment by testing and validating functionality. Support customer activation of new circuits by testing connections to other pieces of equipment and integrating/mapping circuits on the network. Performs preventative or reactive maintenance of network equipment. Uses test equipment such as JDSU and Fiber Optic Power meters, to perform circuit testing on DS-1 / 3’s; OC-3 to 192; GIG-E; Fast Ethernet circuits.
  • Act as a customer contact. Interface with customers and local supervisors to clarify, validate & communicate project status.
  • Learn new technologies to help expand opportunities.

Installer III: 3 – 6 years of experience

  • Knowledge & Experience:

Understanding of Telcordia’s GR-1275-CORE as well as the TP76300 central office equipment installation standards

performing additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment & circuits
Circuit Modifications
Software additions or upgrades
Power transition work
Addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources
Equipment test and turn up (C&IS)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Experience:

  • Central Office Installation: 3 years (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
