Assists with the conduct of clinical research trials as directed by the Research Coordinator following research protocol and GCP. Supports department operations through assigned responsibilities for data collection, entry into computerized databases, creation of source documents/case report forms, administrative duties and general support tasks.

1. Excellent interpersonal skills. This position will place a premium on effective communication skills. This person will be communicating with physicians, clinical personnel, secretaries, patients and other individuals of varying backgrounds and abilities. The ability to effectively work with others will ultimately determine the success of the person in this position.
2. Ability to work effectively with a health care team dedicated to a common goal of clinical research and patient care.
3. Evidence of self-motivation, creativity, and flexibility in meeting objectives.
4. Ability to analyze situations, recognize problems, search out pertinent facts, and seek advice when needed.
5. Computer proficient.
6. Strong organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
7. Ability to work effectively with department coworkers, research subjects and external customers.
8. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and problem solve.
9. Ability to perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and CLIA waived testing or have the willingness to learn.

10. Familiarity with research equipment, supplies, and documents.
