What you’ll do…

The COAX Splicing Manager
is responsible for the construction, upgrade, and maintenance of coaxial & copper cable for cable television systems in an outside plant environment. Specific duties include:
  • Coordinate with contractors, public utilities, equipment vendors, third parties and internal departments to achieve stated goals
  • Assign and coordination work between subcontractors and In-House construction crews.
  • Verify work-in-progress report.
  • Work closely with customers to achieve timely completion of assigned work.
  • Modify design schematics to “as built” documentation, as needed.
  • Supervise Emergency repair and maintenance.
  • Submit reports on all construction activity, daily, weekly and monthly as required.
  • Identify, monitor and address problem areas and work to eliminate customer service/quality control issues and complaints.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues quickly and in a manner that satisfies the customer; educate employees associated with the issue to resolve such issues without further escalation.
  • Perform quality control checks and proof of performance for all construction activities as well as work-in-progress.

Qualifications:


Who we are looking for…
  • Demonstrated experience in all aspects of Aerial & Underground CATV OSP construction
  • Experienced in splicing, balancing, and documenting CATV systems
  • Strong OSP construction knowledge with ability to read/red-line construction drawings to facilitate new builds, relocations, and emergency repairs.
  • Extensive knowledge of permitting, engineering, contractor management, fiber splicing, project management, underground and aerial cable plant installation and maintenance.
  • Assumes responsibility for contribution to the success of major or multiple projects and is periodically called upon to make decisions.
  • Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline oriented.
  • Possese a valid driver’s license
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass drug and background screening
