Ash Communications
As a communications lineman, you work to maintain fiber optic cable, coax and telephone services. New build and replacement You typically perform this job in a vehicle-mounted bucket connected to a service vehicle, working with lines at the top of the telephone pole. Your responsibilities are to install lines, repair them if damage occurs, and provide routine maintenance to poles and conduits. You often fix damaged fiber optic cable after a storm or in the case of power outages. Other duties include testing cables for performance issues, operating power tools to complete various tasks, and identifying defective equipment.

Pay: $21.09 – $37.14 per hour
