Communications – Cabling Technician

Our company is looking for communication – cabling technicians.

Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for the installation of communications – structured cabling systems including Cat6, PA, door access, camera, and fiber optic installations, termination and cable certification.

Work ethic: Demonstrates the ability to perform the assigned duties within the realm of responsibility. Must possess skills to interface with various departments, internal and external customer groups to perform necessary telecommunications work.

Customer Service: Possesses an awareness of customer requirements with emphasis on project scope and goals. Must be able to set priorities and demonstrate timely and effective response to customer and team member needs. MUST be a team player.

Physical Ability: Must be able to see color and distinguish between colors, must be able to work on step and extension ladders and have the ability to use hand and power tools.

Working Conditions: Employees are subject to On-Call duties, 24-hour call back, and may be asked to work during unusual hours, inclement weather, and other adverse circumstances. Duties may include working in confined spaces and climbing ladders to install, inspect and maintain equipment.

Experience: Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications and fiber optic cabling is preferred, but not required. General construction experience preferred, but not required.

Requirements:
Must be committed to working safely and compliance with all company, state and federal safety guidelines.

Must have valid driver’s license.

Salary range:
$20.00 – $30.00

Pay commensurate with experience and qualifications.
