Communications Cabling Technician (Senior/Junior positions)

JMA Technology Solutions is based out of Truro, Nova Scotia offering a diverse array of cabling infrastructure and technology solutions to clients across Nova Scotia.

Position:

We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our structured wiring installation team. Team members install, troubleshoot and repair a variety of low voltage wired communications systems including structured cabling, access control systems, alarm systems, nurse call systems, CCTV and phone systems.

Qualifications:

• Telecommunications cabling experience preferred
• Focused on safety and following standards, codes and legal requirements
• Self-motivated, with time management skills
• Positive attitude with the ability to work well with team members, vendors and clients
• Reputation for being reliable and approach your daily work in an efficient, professional manner.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies

Preferred Assets:

• A valid Nova Scotia Communications Cabling Specialist (CCS) certification
• A valid BICSI Installer accreditation
• Fall Protection Training
• Aerial Lift Certification
• Industry recognized certification and training programs

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 70lbs and carry, climb and work from a ladder or aerial lift
• Valid driver’s license with clear driver’s abstract
• Clear criminal background check

Salary based on qualifications and experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
