MOBIA is currently seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team in Yukon!

Responsibilities

As a Construction Inspector you will be an integral part of a customer focused team, involved with a major Telecommunications provider. In this role, you will be managing the construction project scope for a given area throughout the duration of the project. You will be responsible for validating construction project requirements and scope, conducting review meetings, ensuring requirements are adhered to, and issuing regular status updates for the project. The construction inspector will preview the work plans of construction to proactively find and remove potential hindrances to the project. They will also work quickly to resolve any unforeseen roadblocks should they arise during construction phases.

In order to excel in this role, you must have strong communications skills, ability to perform well under pressure, ability to multitask and a high attention to detail.

Skills / Qualifications:

• 3+ years of telecommunication construction experience.
• Ability to travel throughout the Northwest Territories and Yukon.
• Proactive problem solver with strong listening skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to interface with other departments/contractors/project team members
• Ability to lead, motivate and provide guidance to project team members while providing feedback to managers.
• Proficiency with MS-Office; and the ability to learn new systems and software programs.
• Self-starter with high attention to detail.
• Strong organization skills to successfully manage multiple simultaneous vendors and conflict priorities
