Construction Manager (Smart Building) – Telecom

We are seeking a Construction Manager (Smart Buildings)to work closely with the smart buildings leadership team and the regional engineering and Ubiquity / Fiber First teams to design and implement multiple dwelling unit (MDU) projects. As a member of the smart buildings team, the manager is responsible for the design, engineering, and operations of the fiber buildout within private access properties in the designated region. This position will work closely with the smart building’s leadership, sales, procurement, project management, and contracts teams.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Manage the design, construction, and implementation of the MDU projects for the Smart Buildings team.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and other teams throughout the project cycle.
  • Collaborate with different departments within Ubiquity for end-to-end project deployment.
  • Evaluate and implement new Smart building technology layers on top of the infrastructure build.
  • Manage personal quarterly and annual key performance indicators and property/unit implementation targets.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective deployment methods per the latest trends in the market.
  • Use project management and deployment tools to accurately manage various milestones of the project and report them accurately.
  • Manage relationships with customers during the build cycle and seamlessly transition over to operations once the system is implemented/active.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience working in MDU, Fiber to the home deployment.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience managing vendors and contractors.
  • Experience with ISP and OSP builds.
  • Familiarity with fiber testing, splicing, and validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with smart IOT devices, private networks, CBRS deployments, and DAS deployments is a plus.
  • Flexibility to travel when needed.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are needed.

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn tools like Site tracker, Vitro and Salesforce.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
