Position Opening: Materials & Logistics Coordinator – Full-Time
Job Description:
We are looking for an organized, dynamic, and self-motivated individual in the role of Construction Safety and Quality Control Officer working based out of our GTA Locations/ in the Field and Working Remote. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, You will be required to Coordinator and provide expert advice independently or with minimal direction/guidance, providing management support and assisting operations staff to achieve the organization’s goal of zero incidents. You will Lead in all aspects of Health & Safety to ensure safety at work.
Responsibilities:
Lead Bearing’s Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality Control Programs. Provides oversight to and monitors contractor work to ensure contract and regulatory compliance requirements are met. Leads and oversees construction safety assurance activities and the effective execution of all health and safety programs and procedures. Resolves site, safety, access, operational, and logistical challenges. Provides strategic advice, expertise and recommendations on health and safety programs/policies and issues management strategies to support executive decision making and support/foster continuous improvement to advance the safety culture and excellence in safety management practices. Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements governing health and safety and the Wireless Telecommunications construction industry to manage the planning and delivery of projects safety.
Program Management to ensure the safety and protection of employees, subcontractors and associated corporate values. Provide training in-house and by outside resources where needed to comply with MOL and Industry regulations and best practices. Conduct Job Site Hazard Analysis Review, Safety Meetings, Inspections, Incident Reports, Disciplinary action as required. Manage Client Third Party Health & Safety Compliance Tools, Avetta, Cognibox, Complyworks etc.
Requirements:
A valid Ontario Class G driver’s license is required to travel to various job site locations, meetings, operational facilities, etc. Must meet and maintain the corporate standard for a good driving record. Positive demeanor and able to work well independently and part of a Team as an authority figure representing the company professionally while earning the respect of Co-workers. Diploma or Certifications in a related field combined with 5 years minimum experience. Must Posses Excellent Written and Oral Communications Skills with the ability to effectively communicate with many different types of individuals. Creative, Critical, and out of the box thinking Willingness to Travel as 50% Office, 50% Job Site) Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation skills to liaise with all levels within the organization and on job sites.
