What You’ll Be Doing
As a member of the Enterprise Voice Support Team at this big 5 Canadian bank, you will take part in operations management, designing, building, and testing state of the art solutions for VOIP telephony, call recording, trade floor turret systems, and various voice technologies which will be leveraged by our users nation-wide in branches, main campus locations, and the trade floors across the globe. The role works on complex issues involving one or more technical areas, providing technical guidance to infrastructure teams regarding standards and best practices, working to resolve technical issues to determine root causes, recommending solutions with the general guidance from collaborate with senior infrastructure engineers and members of your team. The role exercises independent judgement and decision making within ownership of project task, change-task, applying standards and roadmaps for hardware and software to analyze technical requirements and recommend infrastructure solutions. Leading the work of other professionals and technicians, the role looks beyond the immediate operating plan to anticipate longer term business issues, devising new methods and procedures using strong analytic and creative thinking.
You will collaborate with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and introducing new technologies and product categories as well as maintain existing ones.
How You’ll Succeed
- Subject Matter Expertise – You will act as a consultant and specialist in the voice telephony space. Your vast industry experience and knowledge of various technologies will be used to provide incident resolution, solution design, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Vendor and Service Governance – You will ensure policies and standards are adhered to throughout the lifecycle of the product or service, and you will conduct routine vendor operational governance management. You will be responsible to review vendor contract commitments and deliverables annually.
- Strategy & Roadmap – You will provide engineering consultation, and leadership for various solutions aimed at strengthening and maturing our enterprise voice services, including service lifecycle management, currency, and optimizations.

- You can demonstrate experience in: IPC Unigy Voice Trading System, NICE Call Recording and Analytics Tools, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Soft turrets and soft phones including IPC, Cisco, Cisco Jabber Soft-phones, Teams and Skype, SIP/SIP-T and PSTN Networking Technologies, Q931, QoS, MoS scores, Cisco Cube, Oracle and Audio-codes SBCs
