Job Description:

On of our Technology client in the Telecommunications industry, Affinity is currently in search of a Contract Lead QA Automation Engineer to join a very exciting development team working on IoT across a number of industries.

Responsibilities:

· Provide leadership on implementation of back-end solutions in Java.

· Understand and lead Back-End automation Development.

· Be experienced with Java and REST API.

· Develop innovative solutions to solve tough business problems.

· Work collaboratively with the team, client team and our partners to build custom development solutions.

· Contribute towards the entire development lifecycle.

· Optimize and apply best practices.

· Maintain high standards of quality for code, technical documentation, and deliverables.

· Collaborate on projects with an all-star team comprised of varying skill-sets through code reviews and design discussions.

· Participate in brainstorming and idea generation activities.

· Work in an Agile environment.

Qualifications:

· 7+ years of related industry experience working in software development environments.

· 2+ years of experience leading technology strategy for a team of Automation engineers.

· Strong stakeholder management and the ability to represent your team to the organization.

· 5+ years of recent experience providing Quality Assurance testing –automation and manual.

· Experience creating, maintaining, and enhancing test scripts.

· Hands-on project experience using Jira, GitLab QA, and testing tool Protractor, or similar testing tools such as Selenium, WinRunner, LoadRunner, Katalon.

· Good understanding of software design and testing patterns.

· Good communication skills both verbal and written at a team level.

· Familiarity with software development tools such as Angular or React, Java or Node.JS, APIs, Postman, and databases.

· Experience working with Front End and Back End developers.

· Experience in working with the Agile/DevOps methodology and CI/CD pipeline.

· Some experience with Cloud technology preferably with GCP or AWS.

· University degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
