Controller
Key Responsibilities
The controller will be responsible for providing accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting to the various internal constituents; maintaining adequate internal controls; managing Accounts Payable; overseeing the accounting duties; protecting company assets The controller will supervise and coordinate daily and monthly reporting, month and year-end close, balance sheet, and P&L review. The Controller will need to ensure accuracy in reported financial data and participation in daily P&L reporting and completeness of revenue and expenses through GL close. They will need to work closely with the Corporate Controller to monitor forecasting and GL accuracy for the division. The Individual should possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels within the organization. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Daily profit and loss forecasting and analysis.
- Take leadership role to improve and manage product pricing and budgeting.
- Overseeing the financial inventory control process.
- Supervising and monitoring client invoicing.
- Building databases and developing queries and calculations for financial reports.
- Analyzing and evaluating key elements of the customer’s program such as:
- 3rd party expense analysis.
- Order activity trends.
- Inventory control.
- Key performance metrics.
- Interfacing directly with our customers.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.

Essential Skills And Experience
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
- Ability to work well in a matrix-structured environment.
- Proactive problem-solving ability.
- B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a financial role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle, Excel and Access or other data management experience.
- Financial experience within the 3PL, telecommunications or MSO industry is a strong plus.
- CPA or other financial certification preferred.
