Position Summary Information
| Job Description Summary | The Coordinator of Telecommunications Technology will coordinate all communications and telecommunications technology for Lewis University. The coordinator will be expected to work cooperatively with the teams responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining technology equipment and resources that are available to the various constituent groups of the university. The coordinator will develop and lead the daily operations of campus communications technology to ensure resources are delivered on time and meet users’ expectations. Moreover, the coordinator will manage communications technology staff. |

| Responsibilities | Responsible to model the university mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education. – Develop and manage communication and infrastructure technology plans, including deliverables, resource coordination, budgeting, and interdepartmental collaboration -Manage enterprise communications technologies systems, including the campus phone system, entertainment system (CATV) -Manages the communications technology staff -Must be able to coordinate multiple communications and infrastructure technology projects simultaneously while delivering qualify outcomes for users -Participate in select technology committees, which serve as forums to communicate needs, issues, policies, guidelines and progress on technology matters, effecting university administrative decision making, student life, and academic endeavors – Keep abreast of current developments in IT and fields related to communications technologies – Responsible for researching, designing, developing, and coordinating the installation of infrastructure technology – Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director – Infrastructure Services |
| Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in education, education technology, project management, computer science or communications technology-related field with three years of experience. Must have the ability to lead a team of diverse technology professionals. Candidate must possess the ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical people in a helpful, patient and friendly manner. Must have the ability to manage conflict andnegotiate solutions to internal and external issues related to the University’s communications technologies. Candidate must be able to work as a member and leader of a team. Flexibility in work scheduling is required. |
