Copywriter

Position Title: Copywriter
Duration: 12 months contract
Work Location: Toronto (Hybrid)

Job Description:

• The organization is looking to “Plus up” their creative team, with a copywriter.
• If you’re a passionate and collaborative copywriter, the organization would like to talk to you.
• You will help to support the creative vision and exceptional execution of work by our Creative Services department. In addition to being a linguistic superstar, you’ll bring a voice that is consistent across all our marketing communications.

What to expect:

• Write copy across a broad range of projects and media, including but not limited to: acquisition and base campaign copy focused on conversions (advertisements, emails, sales, and marketing content). Social media and community content writing. Website/UX and technical copy writing and internal business documentation.
• Participate in creative brainstorming sessions, internal meetings and briefs to assist in the development of the organization.
• Champion our brand voice across all platforms and partners, maintaining consistent tone and manner across messaging.

The ‘must haves’:

• Portfolio.
• 5+ years copywriter experience
• Experience executing highly targeted marketing campaigns
• Strong thinker and comfortable with a sometimes fast paced environment
• You have a razor-sharp attention for detail
• Mobile phone/telecom experience a big, huge, giant plus. (Yes, with a cherry on top.)
• You know all the software.
• You love collaborating, a challenge and finding creative solutions to marketing problems
• You have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and you’re comfortable presenting
