The Manager, Corporate Development serves a critical role in envisioning, creating and realizing on Corporate Development and M&A initiatives undertaken by RCI. This role is reporting to the SVP, Corporate Development & Real Estate.

What you’ll be doing:
Triage mid to large sized deals quickly through initial financial and strategic analysis

Preparing final due diligence, valuation, and deal risk reports

Participate in negotiations for definitive agreements, preparing detailed reports on all aspects of the deal including initial scoping, potential revenue and profit, synergy opportunities and integration challenges (financial, technical and cultural)

Work with cross-functional groups at Rogers to coordinate due diligence efforts across varies workstreams such as Finance, Tax, Legal, HR, Network, Regulatory etc.

Assess operational impacts and develop solutions for integration challenges

Participate in post deal analysis to continuously improve results

What you have:
5+ years business experience (financial or management); M&A transaction experience considered an asset

An accounting designation or CFA is preferred

Direct experience in the telecommunications / media industry either at a major telecom / media company or in an advisory role is considered an asset

Wide base of knowledge including marketing, financial analysis and technology

Thorough understanding of capital markets and M&A processes

Strong business and financial acumen, self-driven and proactive

Able to work effectively with all levels of management

Analytical background with strong financial modelling skills and deep understanding of valuation concepts

Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines
