Job Detail

The Counsel will work closely with the other Regional Counsel in EMEA and the US and internal stakeholders from all areas of the organization. This position reports to Corning’s EMEA Law Department Regional Lead and will be based in Berlin, Germany.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide legal support to Corning’s Telecommunications Division in EMEA.

• Draft, negotiate, interpret, and enforce a variety of commercial contracts, including supply, distributorship, and purchase agreements in English (plus other languages you are fluent in).

• Responsible for interaction with internal clients and external parties on various legal matters.

• Provide legal trainings to other departments and assist with the implementation and monitoring of Corning’s corporate policies including Corning´s compliance programs,

• Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Finance and Human Resources to coordinate programs and initiatives of the business.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Zweites Juristisches Staatsexamen or similar law degree (from other EU country).
• Professional experience gained in private practice or in-house.
• Fluent English plus German, Polish, French, or other additional language skills also welcome.
• Strong commercial drafting skills and the ability to identify commercial and legal issues.
• A passion to work in an international environment.
