DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position is responsible for the Healthy Kids, Healthy School Initiative that supports the assessment, enhancement, necessary development and monitoring of the community mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse treatment services for the children ages 0-18 in the County of Delaware including schools. The coordinator will work to ensure that all Delaware County youth have equitable access to cohesive, student and family centered evidenced based services.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a County Mental Heath Program Specialist 1; or
  • Three years of professional level experience in the field of Mental Health; and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
  • You must pass a background investigation.
