Customer Service Representative

Job Overview

A Customer Service Representative will promote all segments of the company including our Equipment Sales and Parts Sales. Responsible for being the key support staff for our outside sales personnel while they are in the field, as well as the key customer service representatives in the office.

PMA provides equipment sales to the following channels: Dealers, Refrigeration Contractors, Chain Accounts, Business & Industry, Hospitality, and Institutional/Health Care. You are responsible for generating new business through these channels by prospecting, qualifying, making calls (both in person and via telecommunication), and closing sales through each of these channels.

Major Job Duties

  • Answer in-bound calls
  • Assist customers with product knowledge, order information, and shipping information.
  • Quotations – Auto Quotes
  • Enter sales orders and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate Freight Logistics
  • Work with outside sales staff on quotes for customers.
  • Assist outside sales with takeoffs for bid projects.

Responsibilities and Duties.

  • Understanding of pricing and warranties.
  • Understanding of MAS 200 system.
  • Maintain Customer Files
  • Attend equipment inventory as required.
  • Report any significant errors to General Manager.
  • Stay in constant contact with outside sales staff and make them aware of any customer complaints/issues.
  • Outbound calling during time in between inbound calls and processing orders.
  • Attend sales meetings as required
  • Additional special assignments as directed by General Manager

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills
  • Strong listening and sales skills
  • Ability to achieve targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • 3+ years of experience in commission sales or other related experience preferred
  • 2+ year college degree preferred
