Reporting to the Head of Sales, the position will function as a contact point and interface for new customers, focusing on creating new business relationships, working both direct and in-direct channels.
This role will have responsibility for driving new business sales by proactively reaching out to prospective customers and introducing them to Vertek’s Cyber products and services.
Tasked with supporting and delivering on Vertek’s value proposition by continually striving to increase Vertek’s brand.

Primary Responsibilities include:
- Daily cold calling and prospecting utilizing a variety of creative methods and tools.
- Function as a trusted advisor to provide customers a lead point of contact, providing a resource and touchpoint into Vertek’s business.
- Facilitate resolution of any customer related issues and concerns from a Commercial and Sales standpoint.
- Thorough understanding of how the Vertek services is used by the customer and how that can drive more value.
- Report sales opportunities through regular opportunity pipeline updates.
- Identifying key targets and operating an engagement strategy, based on opportunity and the customer vertical market or needs.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams with campaigns and strategies for revenue growth.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Vertek’s products and solutions and being able to propose and present these to the customers, whilst being aware of rival services or products.
- Review with management to understand key objectives and execute tasks that are aligned with the goals of the business.
What we are looking for:
- 3 years’ experience selling Cybersecurity into the Channel, MSPs, Enterprise and Government segments. Focus will be on SIEM and SOC services
- 3+ years’ experience in a Sales Hunter role.
- Experience selling into direct/in-direct channels.
- Experience selling into industry verticals such as healthcare, finance and automotive is a plus.
- Value based selling experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment, with multiple tasks or goals.
- Focus and attention to customer needs and appreciation of the customers’ service issues, or “pain points”.
- Ability to deliver revenue results and operate in a consultative based selling approach.
- Ability to work with the wider Vertek teams to focus on revenue generation and results
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Experience in proposing Cybersecurity solutions in enterprise customer environments is highly desired
- Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape and competitive market is a plus
- Driven and self-motivated
