Job Detail
Our client is seeking a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) Designer specializing in the design of stadium/arena, data center and airport DAS systems.
As a DAS Designer, your responsibilities are to plan and carry out services necessary for all phases of the Lifecycle, including layout and design, testing, commissioning, and optimization.
The Designer will be joining a team to work with integrated system architecture, design, and other engineering departments with the following qualifications to perform the following duties:
- Strong technical knowledge of DAS network solutions and products.
- Ability to design complex, efficient, and cost-effective Neutral Host DAS systems in large enterprise, manufacturing, and airport facilities using iBwave software.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with and coordinate with equipment manufacturers, contractors, installers, integrators, and operations teams.
- Ability to write / review design standards and specifications.
- Create, review, and maintain bills of materials (BOMs).
- Ability to review and cross-check specifications and BOM’s against contractor submittals
- Work closely with engineering project teams and field personnel to complete and review projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Work closely with engineering project teams and field personnel to incorporate schedules, budgets, and project criteria into physical design and layouts.
- Support site walks, commissioning, and optimization work.
- Collaborate on the installation and testing of RAN / RF / DAS equipment with site installers. Support DAS troubleshooting, where required.
- Perform project tasks and assignments within budgeted hours and deadlines.
- Direct designs, sketches, and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects.
- Assist with analyzing reports, drawings, and calculations.
- Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files, and project-related information in a logical and well-structured manner.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred, but not required. This can be substituted for a technical degree or work experience.
- 5 years related DAS design/integration experience required.
- Experience using iBwave in-building RF design software. iBwave Certification of Level 2 or higher is desired.
- Experience in in-building wireless industry, either working directly for a carrier or experience with DAS third party operators of turnkey systems integrators highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of complex Neutral Host DAS systems required.
- Multiple OEM experience required. Working knowledge of Corning/SpiderCloud andCommScope platforms desired
- JMA/TEKO, Corning, SOLiD, ADRF, CommScope, certifications desired
- Knowledge of wireless technologies, including 4G LTE and 5G.
- Working knowledge in telecommunications, cable/conduit routing, equipment rack layouts, wired and wireless communications, floor plans, power/cooling required.
- Ability to professionally interact with clients, lead project calls, and direct teammates on design requirements required.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD experience is a plus.
