Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, deliver and maintain comprehensive data analysis, reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
• Access, extract and merge data from different sources, formats, platforms and systems; perform data scrubbing techniques to ensure data accuracy, including parsing, data transformation, duplicate elimination and statistical modeling
• Present complex data to non-technical end-users in a clear and concise manner through reporting visualization tools
• Prepare presentations and participate in meetings with client teams and/or clients
• Author and maintain documentation of reporting and reusable knowledge assets
• Maintain a solid understanding of organization’s operational processes and SOPs and how daily workflow components translate into internal and external reporting

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, specialized training/certification or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, facilitating and documenting requirements gathered from both business and IT counterparts
• 2+ years of experience working with Databases, SQL
• 2+ years of experience of report writing and/or utilizing BI visualization tools such as Oracle, Tableau, Cognos or MS Power BI
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of data analytics experience, healthcare analytics
• Knowledge of healthcare administrative data (medical claims, enrollment, provider data)
• Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL)
• ETL process and tools experience
• Solid knowledge of extracting and developing key consumer insights within a population, distilling insights, and presenting to business leadership
• Proficiency and understanding of IT management, data storage structures and the various ways data can be applied to aid in business intelligence
• Solid organizational skills, time management and critical thinking skills
• Solid verbal and written communication skills, ability and comfort presenting to senior leadership, including at the C-suite level
• Extremely collaborative; proactive; high integrity; highly reliable
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities with special attention to accuracy and detail

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only : The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
