Key tasks of the role

  • As a Data Governance Consultant, you will serve as an expert in the implementation of Data Governance best practice for our clients. You should be an able communicator, who is comfortable operating at senior levels to design and promote effective data governance frameworks and related processes. This includes the implementation of new technologies and data governance tools (e.g. Collibra, Alteryx Connect, Informatica, etc) alongside training Data Owners and Stewards in executing their responsibilities both within and without any supporting software.
  • You will have a good understanding of statutory and legislative requirements for data (e.g. GDPR) and can spot risks to alleviate through effective governance of data, whilst also seeking opportunities for leveraging value or reducing duplication of efforts. You should be mindful of being able to prove the value of any data governance initiatives to the organisation and seek opportunities to track and prove this.
  • When you aren’t working with clients, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and undergo training in other software sets to compliment your skills. You will also have the opportunity to deliver new products, training materials, and other content that will enable our prospective and current clients to improve their data maturity

Skills and training required

  • Experienced in the use or deployment of Data Governance tools
  • Understands and can advise on cloud infrastructures and associated data architectures.
  • Able to provide guidance to clients on effective data management and communication of data through associated tools.
  • At least 1 years’ experience leading a data governance function
  • Experience working within a data governance tool (e.g. Collibra, Alteryx connect, etc)
  • Flexibility, and ability to work under pressure
  • Work well independently as well as contribute to team success
  • Strong time management and administrative skills.
  • Well defined prioritisation and strong organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and have excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of UCD (UrbanCode Deploy) is desirable but not essential

Salary: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
