Delivery Coordinator, Media Services (7 Month Contract)

Blue Ant Media is looking for an experienced, technically-minded individual to coordinate the incoming and outgoing deliveries for one of our busiest business units, Media Services. In this role, working with the Delivery Manager, you will need to be highly organized and manage the communication and expectations of various clients. This role also requires the ability to assess files technically for QA purposes.

What You’ll Do…

• Manage Input, QC/QA and deliveries for client requests
• Provide timely project status updates for all tickets/projects/launches
• Inform clients once files have been received or delivered
• Ensure all parties are updated on the status of delivery
• Manage rejections, and troubleshoot with Delivery Manager and other technicians to determine the cause
• Keep all parties updated on delays related to technology or other causes
• Collaborate with clients and Delivery Manager in content workflows and throughput on an ongoing basis with content refreshes.
• Work with the project team to confirm projects completed for invoices.

What You’ll Bring…

• Related post-secondary education in Telecommunications or Film Production
• 2-3 years experience in a TV/Film distribution with a focus on technical deliveries
• 1-2 years experience in a projects related role
• Possesses excellent organization skills, good verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in computer usage.
• Has a thorough understanding of professional/broadcast 4K, HD and SD signal standards
• Has a thorough understanding of video resolution, and audio formatting
• Has a thorough understanding of file formats, codecs, file size and storage
• Has experience with quality control standards and broadcast technical specifications
• Has demonstrated experience dealing with immediate deadlines that require problem-solving and “on the fly” critical analysis
• Is self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines in a team environment
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Able to maintain a professional attitude, demeanour and relationship with media services co-workers, internal staff and third-party vendors at all times.
• Experience with Avid Mediator Composer, Final Cut and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but knowledge and skill on any non-linear editing platform will be considered
• Experience with media file transfer and sharing workflows
