Digital Consultant or
Project Leader/Principal, you will help our automotive clients successfully navigate this software-driven transformation that is rapidly revolutionizing the industry.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Work jointly with BCG and high impact client project teams, bringing expertise to the team and to the client on site;
- Work independently at a module level on select software-related topics for auto clients;
- Help our automotive clients successfully navigate this software-driven transformation that is rapidly revolutionizing the industry;
- Support case teams, especially those with need for deep expertise and a hands-on approach;
- Contribute to the quality of the work, question results with sanity checks and with the project team;
- Educate and inform clients proactively about state-of-the-art software-related technologies, methodologies and tools and how they can bring value to their business;
- Delve deeper into specific areas of expertise within the DigitalBCG and Automotive practices and expand your expertise.
What You’ll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
As a
Consultant you would typically have:
- 5+ years of experience working
- with a leading consulting firm focused on technology/software initiatives for auto manufacturers, or
- in an auto-manufacturer or auto component supplier focused on technology/software initiatives (technology strategist, software product owner, technology/data architect),
- or in a tech start-up in the auto industry, focused on information technology and software innovation;
- A degree in computer, IT, electrical, telecommunications or software engineering; or physics, mathematics or mechanical/industrial engineering with strong knowledge of software and IT;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English.
- Software lifecycle management and R&D (incl. software innovation, development, testing, deployment and management)
- In-vehicle software architectures
- Over-the-air architectures (OTA, FOTA, SOTA)
- Commercial automotive Cloud solutions and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform, AWS Connected Vehicle Solution)
- ADAS and autonomous driving technologies
- Connectivity and telematics
- Infotainment product development
- Car commercial Operating Systems (e.g., Google Automotive Services, Android Auto, QNX)
- In-vehicle middleware
- Electric/Electronic (E/E) architectures (with good understanding of differences between centralized, distributed, domain based, etc)
- System-on-a-Chip (SoC), electronic control units (ECU), domain control units (DCU)
- Artificial Intelligence/Machine learning for car functionality
- Sensors, actuators, controllers
- Auto cybersecurity
Project Leader or
Principal, in addition to the above, you would typically have:
- 8+ years of experience, including industry experience as detailed above and a minimum of 3 years of experience preferably within a leading strategy consulting firm;
- a proven ability to manage client engagements and relationships, and provide guidance to teams, owning the responsibility for the quality of project work.
