Director of Network Engineering
The Director of Network Engineering and Operations is responsible for:
- The design, implementation and operational integrity of both the OSP and ISP elements of the network.
- Overseeing all day-to-day network construction and all ongoing operational issues.
- Documenting and ensuring compliance with all construction and operational process.
- Adds insight in operational issues, leads with process controls and supports with contractor management.
Additional Tasks and Duties:
1. Oversee EPC partner including:
a. Network Electronics installation
b. Core Network installation, testing and JCN recommendations.
c. Distribution area installation, testing and JCN recommendations.
2. Point of escalation on all network design issues.
3. Works with NOC in oversight of ticket management, identify and plan for network capacity issues.
4. Audits and ensures compliance with all backup and recovery policies for all network equipment.
5. Supports Drop SOW’s, Process Oversight, ISP engagement.
6. Creates and supports audit documentation and process management.
7. Leading weekly meetings with EPC partner.
8. Supporting and oversight on the implementation and management of the active electronics.
9. Proactively monitors network performance, reliability and connectivity to all remote sites.
10. Inspects, audits all hardware and ensures that all identified issues are addressed immediately.
11. Accountable for oversight of the entire network, including remote sites, communications closets, and data centers.
12. Resolves operational issues with contractor, support staff and maintains relationship with them.
13. Must be able to work outside of normal business hours to include nights and weekends

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Bloomington, IN: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- telecommunication or fiber cable: 1 year (Preferred)
