The Network and Telecommunication Services Director is a dynamic, innovative leadership team member. The Director is creative, innovative, and forward-thinking in providing business value through IT Network services and solutions to drive the OSU/A&M system to achieve its missions and goals. The Director will be responsible for a team that provides operational support staff and collaborates with the other IT areas to provide end-to-end solutions and services. The Director will provide strategic and tactical direction through planning, metrics, and business analysis. In addition, the Director will manage Network and Telecommunication Services for the OSU/A&M system.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

Requires combined seven years of supervisory and comparable enterprise telecommunications environment experience.

Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.

Communication skills – Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with clear, grammatically correct English. Requires interaction with supervisors, colleagues, students, using tact, discretion, and independent judgement.


Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Business, IT Security, other computer related field

Experience in higher education. Maintain a managerial level of expertise in the following technologies: DNS, DHCP, routers/switches (preferably Cisco), VoIP, Ericcson PBX, firewall, fiber installation, traffic logging/analysis, and emerging technologies.
