Director of OSP Construction

TekCom is looking for a Director of OSP Construction in the Hudson Valley area. Position could transition to hybrid schedule in time but will require office time in the beginning, so must be local.

This role is directing and supporting a fiber infrastructure build throughout the Hudson Valley. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit. This role is primarily OSP but some ISP work is involved.

Description:

• Build/Deploy a fiber network

• Manage a team of internal and external resources

• Will manage external A&E contracted resources until work is brought in-house

• Work collaboratively with the OSP construction teams, Engineering and Network Operations

• Oversee schedule and budget adherence

• Manage growth, capacity needs and process improvement

• Utilize KPIs and metrics to monitor the deployment plan

Qualifications:

• 8+ years working in a senior leadership role involved in all aspects of design & deployment of all ILEC/CLEC OSP/ISP facilities (aerial, buried/UG and fiber optic)

• ISP plant experience is a plus (building/cabinet facilities including HVAC and AC/DC power)
