Director of Telecom Services

Vertek Corporation is looking for a Director of Telecom Operations to oversee and manage delivery of telecommunications services for our customers. Our Telecom Operations product portfolio includes network quoting, order handling, service assurance and telecom expense management. As a member of the relatively small corporate management team, the individual will be responsible for managing a team of 50 with 7 direct reports, mostly based in Vermont. This position is open to remote working with some travel required from time to time to Vermont as well as customer visits within the United States.

Primary Responsibilities include:

· Oversee day to day delivery of Telecom Operations services for customers.

· Accountable for forecasting and budgets within the Telecom Operations product portfolio.

· Develop performance metrics to ensure optimal team performance and customer success.

· Participate in customer meetings with Sales to help in planning and scoping of Telecom Operations services.

· Provide strategic inputs to optimize our product and technology platform.

· Manage escalations and resolutions for customers.

· Work on any special projects as requested by the President.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree, [Engineering / Telecommunications major preferred]

Supervisory Experience:

10+ yrs. Minimum

Certifications:

Cisco and Cloud Certifications, a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Strong knowledge of data network and telecommunications services including traditional telecom services, SD-WAN services and VOIP services.

Strong multitasking, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.

Experience managing telecommunications delivery and engineering team(s).

Experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver important business outcomes.

Advanced data and analytical skills

Strategic leadership skills with strong execution mindset and a vision to evolve the services and support platforms.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
