Director – Telecom Systems Business (TSB) Systems Technologists (Remote)

Summary:

The Director of Telecom Systems Business (TSB) System Technologists will lead a global team of TSB System Technologists driving the technical sales enablement of TSB products and capability.

The Director will be responsible for building the global team to support the needs of the TSB Business, including honing the strategy, setting up the processes, interlocks, and key metrics to drive and define success within the business. The Telecom System Technologists will be responsible for technical expertise on TSB products and solutions, including launching new product capabilities into the field and customers, developing and providing Demos, leading technical Portfolio Enablement via training, evangelism, technical presentations and supporting the creation of technological artifacts.

They will work with and across Customers, Partners, Product Management, Engineering, Sales Teams, and many other stakeholders as the technical Subject Matter Expert on Dell Telecom products and solutions. They will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Architecture, and Transformation teams to drive customer requirements and map innovative technology solutions from Dell and its partners.

What you’ll achieve:

  • Develop and lead a team of industry leading specialists that can drive adoption of TSB capabilities into Dell’s focused customers.
  • Work with DTS Telco Leadership to define a prioritized plan to succeed globally in the marketplace.
  • Develop the team to be the company technical experts on TSB Products, Solutions and Capabilities.

The team will:

  • Provide technical demos of TSB products and solutions
  • Train and enable customers, partners, sales teams
  • Support pre-sales technical needs
  • Support Product documentation and artifact creation
  • Provide input to Product Management
  • Support RFx Responses
  • Help Launch new products and capabilities into customer’s environments.
  • Develop mindshare with selected Telecom Operators around Dell’s products and position the capabilities to solve technical requirements.
  • Develop trusted and meaningful client relationships through a deep understanding of key business issues within their network account base and alignment to key Dell Technology Solutions.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and be able to effectively communicate with key customer decision makers.
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive Telecom experience in the areas of Next Gen Core, Services Edge, RAN, Next Gen Operations, Automation, Security, Wired/Wireless Transport, Mobile Edge Compute, or Private Wireless
  • 4+ years of Telecom Technical Management experience
  • Experience with Dell hardware
  • Experience with key Telecom Hardware + Software partners
  • Technical degree or additional years of experience in the Telecom field in lieu of a 2 or 4 year STEM related degree
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end Telcom Networks as well as network operations across OSS/BSS, network core, transport, edge and RAN
  • Robust knowledge of technologies, standards, and architectures associated with virtualization, K8s/containers, big-data, security, public clouds, private cloud as well as hybrid cloud and hyper-converged solutions; along with the ability to map a solution’s value to an account’s business needs
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to orchestrate technical and sales resources to drive large customer projects in key accounts and establish deep relationships with key customer stakeholders to achieve trusted advisor status
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills which allow to influence and interact with confidence and credibility at all levels within Dell Technologies, customers, partners and vendors
  • Ability to work in matrixed, complex, fast-moving and constantly changing environments within an extremely competitive market
